How it works

Three taps from “who had the tofu?” to everyone square.

  1. Step 1

    Scan

Snap the receipt. Line items land in a tidy list you can fix in a tap.

  2. Step 2

    Claim

Send one bubble to the group chat. Everyone taps what they actually ate.

  3. Step 3

    Settle

Pay your exact share in the app. Tax and tip prorate themselves.

Shared dumplings, noodles and iced tea on a table with a paper receipt in the middle

Payments stay in the app

No bouncing out to a payments app, no “sent it, check again.” Your share is charged right where you claimed it and lands with whoever picked up the bill.

  • We never see card numbers

Card details are tokenized by Stripe’s payment sheet. CheckPlz only ever stores a token reference.

  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer

Pay with the wallet you already use, or pick ACH for near-zero fees on bigger bills.

  • Cash still counts

Paid at the table? Record it and the balance clears for everyone.

iMessage extension

One bubble does the whole job

Drop the receipt into the thread you’re already in. iPhone friends claim items inline; everyone else taps through to a page that works perfectly on Android Chrome and desktop — no download, no login.
